I actually like the dark. I like the way the city lights up at night. I like the way that the stars shine and the planets flicker when there is enough darkness. I love to sleep in darkness. I love that the dawn is later in winter so I can sleep past 5am. I love the way the lights shine off the local mountains. The mix of light and darkness is beautiful to me.
