48 Hour Book Challenge

Book_Challenge.jpg

This weekend I have a whole bunch of things that I am doing. My mother is coming to stay for a few weeks and gets in tomorrow at 8pm. (Yeah!) On Saturday I am going to get the church hall ready for our year end Girl Guide Parent/daughter Tea. The Tea will run from 4:30pm till 6:30 pm. At 7:30 pm we are having the girls only sleepover – non – sleepover till 11 pm. This means we do all the sleepover things; pj’s, doing hair, playing games, eating junk food and watching movies without actually sleeping at someone’s house. The girls all go home at 11 pm. On Sunday we have tickets to go see the real live Thomas the Tank Engine in Squamish. This means getting on the road at 8am at the latest. Last but not least I will be doing Mother Reader’s 48 Hour Book Challenge. The 48 Hour Book Challenge is a reading/blogging challenge that takes place over this weekend starting no earlier than 7 am Friday and ending no later than 7 am Monday. I have decided that with all these things to do this weekend I am going to try my best to read as much as I can. I will be starting around 10 pm on Friday night (yes mom, I am full planning to ignore you for part of the first weekend you are here,) and finish at 10 pm on Sunday.

I am allowed 1 audio book so I think that while I am moving about I can read Angie Sage’s third book Physik in the Septimus Heap trilogy. I am planning to try and get the Rick Riordan Trilogy from the library, (I already read The Lightning Thief), the latest Jenny Nimmo, Charlie Bone and the Wilderness Wolf and I have a few others around to read. I think I have an Edward Bloor (author of Tangerine and Crusader) and Eldest by Christopher Paolini around to read as well. I am also going to re-read Diane Duane’s Young Wizard’s series. Hmm, I guess I will be getting no sleep.

Yeah! I cannot wait to get started!!!
