I am beginning again. Yes, technically NaBloPoMo started yesterday, but I am not sure what kind of writing would have come out yesterday. It has been a few weeks of getting ready for Quinlan’s birthday party and yesterday was the day. The day after Halloween, what the hell was I thinking? Have you ever tried to find a place for 16 kids the weekend before Halloween? It is not easy. In fact it is pretty much impossible. So the Harry Potter themed party was held yesterday, with wands, a sorting hat and a fabulous potions class. Afterwards we all collapsed from too much excitement.
Today we are all reeling from the time change. Whoever decided that changing time was a good idea must not have had kids. Quinlan regularly wakes up anywhere between 5:30 am and 6:00 am so you know what that means. Even though we put him to bed an hour late, he still woke at 6 am yesterday’s time. Yes, the boy has been up since 5am. This doesn’t bode well for tonight.
Two saving graces today: another birthday party that was drop off, and the theatre class that Q absolutely loves with a teacher he loves. The fact that this is my second hang around in a coffee shop/market time for the day makes the rest of the day a little less daunting.
I will probably post again tonight. I have an overdue meme that Alexis of Wave the Stick tagged me in that I have been writing in my head for a while now.
See you tonight!
