New Year, New Word, New Project

I am a procrastinator by nature.  I am shy and introverted with a good mask in place.  I love to write, but I am very critical of the actual product.  I am always re-writing and I never think that what I write is good enough.  I love to photograph things and people, but I am not sure that I should be showing my work to anyone.  This is the year I plan to work on all of those by becoming part of the one word movement, and the daily photograph movement.

I have a new notebook for jotting down things that inspire me to write, usually at the most inopportune times.  I am going to have at least my point and shoot in my purse at all times, and the big camera and tripod around for at least one photo walk a week.  I got a brand new macro lens and I am playing with it.  I will post some of the pictures soon.  I also got a Bokeh kit to make the bokeh I love into different shapes.  So far it is fun.

I got a brand new sewing machine for Christmas and I plan to use it to help me with my one little word.  I may even take a beginner sewing class so I can learn to use it properly.  I may even try my hand at some small quilting projects.

I am making  commitment to myself to write every week day.  I may not publish all that I write on the blog, but I am going to write.  I am making a commitment to myself to post a photograph everyday.  I may not have taken the picture that day, but I am going to post a daily photo.  I am also making a commitment to myself to actually print more pictures.  I want to use some as writing prompts for my journal, as a scrapbook of sorts.

I hope that by writing down my intentions I will be able to keep to these commitments.  I want to be a better writer, a better photographer and a more creative person.
