Harry Potter: I just figured him out.

Ok, so maybe I am the biggest dunce but I finally figured it out. Harry Potter is himself a horcrux. How did I not figure this out earlier? If Voldemort used objects and acts of great evil to divide his soul and there are 6 or 7 of them, Harry has to be one of them. What better way for Harry to be the downfall of Voldemort? Since Harry has to destroy all the Horcruxes in order to defeat Voldemort for good, and Rowling needs to end the series for good, Harry has to die, but he also has to win. We wouldn’t stand for it otherwise. 🙂

I have been preparing myself for the upcoming release of the last Harry Potter book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. To this end I am listening to all the books again. I just finished HP and the Chamber of Secrets again last night. (As an aside, I love Stephen Fry. He is one of the best narrators I have ever heard. It is a little funny, I am sure that Jim dale is also a good narrator, but after hearing the first 5 books read by Stephen Fry I couldn’t bear to listen to the 6th book as read by Jim Dale.) In the last chapter when Dumbledore is talking to Harry alone and Harry finally asks about why he and Voldemort share commonalities, the truth comes out.

“ ‘You can speak Parseltongue, Harry,’ said Dumbledore calmly, ‘because Lord Voldemort – who is the last remaining ancestor of Salazar Slytherin – can speak Parseltongue. Unless I’m much mistaken, he transfered some of his own powers to you the night he gave you that scar. Not something he intended to do, I’m sure . . .’

‘Voldemort put a bit of himself in me?’ Harry said Thunderstruck.

‘It certainly seems so.’ “

Anyway, as I was listening to this last night it suddenly occurred to me that Harry is the last Horcrux. However, I am not certain enough of this to post it to the Leaky Cauldron’s Horcrux Thread. If you are interested in the books and have a theory about the last Horcrux you should take a peek. There is also a lot of neat stuff on the Leaky Cauldron site. Have fun, and don’t make too much fun of me if you think I am dead wrong on this one. I guess we only have about 80 days to find out.
