Lest We Forget: 2012

Since Aidan was 4 we have taken the kids to the Remembrance day ceremonies at Victory Square. I would have brought him earlier but at 3 I had a 3 week old baby and I really wasn’t up to it. This year was the first year that Aidan really got it and there was only interest in the ceremony and no whining about it being too long.

This year Aidan knew that his uncle had been to Afghanistan twice. He will know that his Great-great grandfather was in WWII. He wants to be a part of peace. Quinlan on the other hand doesn’t understand yet, but he was there and he put his poppy on one of the wreaths. One day he will understand and will be interested in the ceremony. We will not forget.
