Menu Plan Monday

This week I started Weight Watchers after I had planned all my suppers. While things were pretty much on schedule for the suppers (except for the Lasagne which was postponed till this week because I forgot a key ingredient) I don’t think the diet itself went so well. This week to change this I have included breakfasts and lunches for me. I have also added a list of snacks I will keep around so to help with the munchies in the afternoon.

So on to the menus:

Monday: Breakfast – Weetabix, tea, 1 cup 1% milk, Lunch – Ham Sandwich, raw veggies Supper: Hamburgers, Salad

Tuesday: Breakfast – Cream of Wheat, Tea, milk, fruit Lunch – sandwich, raw veggies Supper: Spaghetti, Meat sauce, Bread

Wednesday: Breakfast – Cereal, tea, milk, Lunch – Soup, bread Supper – BBQ Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Corn

Thursday: Breakfast – Weetabix, Tea, Milk, Fruit Lunch – Sandwich, veggies Supper – Steak, Baked potatoes, Cauliflower

Friday: Breakfast – Toast, Tea, Milk, Banana Lunch – Soup, Crackers Supper – Fish and Chips (Nana gets in!!)

Saturday: Brunch – Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs Supper – Lasagne, Bread, Salad

Sunday: Who the heck knows. A Day out with Thomas is in store. 🙂

Snacks to Have Around:

Red, Green, Yellow Peppers

Cauliflower , Broccoli, Carrots, Cucumber

Small Oranges, Grapes, Watermelon

On Friday evening my Mother is coming in from Nova Scotia.  I am so excited and  I can’t wait to have some time to myself as Nana takes care of Aidan.  I fully plan to go get my haircut during the week.  How decadent is that!  So I am unsure if I will be planning next week or not.   We will see.  Have a great week everyone!

More Minefields of a Walking Toddler

As all moms know a walking toddler is a minefield waiting to happen. Yesterday Aidan and I went to get some food and the to pick up Daddy for lunch. Since we were picking up food at the village we walked from the car as stairs and the stroller don’t mix so well. Because we had been doing some errands before, I needed to go to the bathroom while I was there, and Aidan had to come in with me. This usually isn’t a problem because he is in the stroller. This time it was a problem as Aidan figure out very quickly how to unlock the door and of course he wanted to open it. The only good thing is that because we were in the handicapped stall there is a handle on the door. So trying to go to the bathroom, hold the door closed and keep a toddler from getting his hands hurt or going berserk made this trip a real adventure. Sigh. At least we had lunch in an open field so that Aidan could run to his heart’s content.

What will he try next. I am not sure I want to find out.

Seven Things: A Meme

Heidi of Three Moons tagged me the other day for a take back the me meme. 🙂 I have been thinking about this one for a while so here it goes.

Seven Things I Love About Me:

  1. I am a prompt, on-time person. (Well now only most of the time since Aidan.) I like to be on-time or early for things. If you are inviting me to something, let me know the actual time you want me to come over. I will be on time.
  2. I am a bibliophile. I love love books, and I love that I get excited about reading. I am also an excellent reader. In case you are confused, I meant reading aloud. I love to do it and I love that I am good at it.
  3. I have a good rapport with most people. I can talk to people about almost anything but I have a special rapport with kids and adolescents.
  4. I have a keen eye for detail. If you don’t believe me, take a look at Left Coast Floyds and check our Geocaching stuff.
  5. I have an interesting wit. Not everyone gets my sense of humour (except my husband, and him only most of the time) but it is quirky and entirely me.
  6. I am a musician. I am a singer. Music makes me happy. That Aidan is singing all the time now makes me even happier.
  7. I am a good mother. I am a good wife. I think these two things make me happiest of all. It makes me even happier because I am both these things even if not a good housekeeper. I know what my short comings are and love myself anyway. 🙂

Now, I tag

Haley-o of The Cheaty Monkey,

Ali from Cheaper Than Therapy,

Laura from I’m an Organizing Junkie

and

Kerry from Crunchy Carpets.

Enjoy the tag girls and take some time for yourself.

Rant Vancouver

As I was writing the random rant about the shower incident at the community pool, I decided to read it out to Anthony.  He then told me that I should send it into Rant Vancouver.  I did yesterday and they put it up.  Now I feel even better!!  Check out the site.
