Menu Plan Monday

I just found a wonderful thing to do every Monday. Plan a menu and stick to it! So I am trying to do this every Monday, lets see what happens! so for my inaugural week here we go.

Monday: Frozen turkey pies. (Bad I know, but with Aidan’s Party yesterday I am still wiped.)

Tuesday: Shepherd’s Pie

Wednesday: Slow-Cooked Pot Roast

Thursday: Skillet Cooked Parmesan Chicken Corn, Mashed potatoes

Friday: Steak and Baked Potatoes

Saturday: Chicken Kabobs, rice

Sunday: ??

What do you think? A good start? 🙂 I know Anthony will think so.

Aidan and Hendrik

Hendrik came over for dinner yesterday and for a bit of a visit with Aidan since he is in Ottawa on the weekend.  Aidan was really well behave and gave Hendrik a lot of affection demanding to be up on his lap or in his arms.  Everything went really well till Aidan choked on his chicken at the dinner table and proceeded to puke .  I must say though that Aidan was really refined in his puking and mostly got his plate a few bowls we put under him and a bit of the table.  He was fine afterwards but it isn’t the sort of thing that is really appetizing for dinner guests.  Hendrik was super nice about it too and helped us clean up the table.

I have graduated!!!!

I have graduated from Mimi to Mommy!  I know he means it because he said it about 20 times in a row to get my attention.  I am so Happy that he did it before his 2nd birthday.  I was a little jealous that Daddy has been Daddy for a very long time and I had to get excited about Mimi.  Now I just hope I don’t live to regret wanting it so much.

Real Moms Laugh in the Face of Adversity, and Spit Up

Kristen of Motherhood Uncensored, The Mom Trap and about 15 other blogs has started a meme called Real Moms.  (Here’s how it works: Put up a post “Real Moms [insert what you do here]”, followed by an explanation (feel free to use more sentences than just one run-on one like me), a picture, and a “Real Moms. Making ….”. Then tag five people.  I wasn’t tagged but I love the thought of this meme so I decided to do it on my own.

Real Moms let their sons have ice cream for the first time and don’t worry (well too much) about the sticky.

Real Moms take pictures of their failed hair cut attempts and aren’t too embarrassed.  At least the screaming happened at home instead of traumatizing the poor barber.
