I Couldn’t Resist

I love, love, loved The Golden Compass series by Phillip Pullman. I just found a link to finding your own Daemon. This is what I got, but I guess I need you to make sure that it is right on. You can also take the test for yourself.

Too Cute: An Aidan Dictionary

Aidan was just running around with his juice box after the cat saying “try it! try it!” I guess he listens when we get him to “just try it.”

Some new words:

bowzer (pronounced bow-zer) = bulldozer

ah-ger-ger= alligator

Soccer-monster = soccer ball

Din-din = Dianthe (one of our ctas)

Dromnda = Andromeda (our other cat)

Yeah right! = 1. anything he doesn’t want to actually take the time to say 2. wow that would be wonderful!

Cake is the New Breakfast of Choice

Aidan is in his high chair, eating a carrot muffin, and muttering in a very happy voice.

“Cake!”

“Birthday card!”

“Cake!”

“Milk!”

“Birthday Cake!”

“Its a Birthday!”

“Thomas!”

I think he has figured out the links between birthday cards, cake, presents and saying happy birthday. (Only Aidan says “Happy Birthday card” instead.)  Can you tell we had three weeks of birthdays in a row to help him out with the concept? 🙂

Muffins are cake

On Monday I learned how long our boy’s arms are.  He was able to get a carrot muffin from on top of the stove and brought it to me.  He stood there grinning ear to ear and said “Cake, Mommy, Cake!”  I,like a very good and permissive mommy said”Sure Aidan, you can have cake for breakfast.”  “Yeah right!” was the reply.

So, from now on I am the mommy who lets her son eat cake for breakfast.  Wink wink.
