  • Spring cleaning is now leading to rolling of coin. Trying to remember how many for each. #braindead #
  • Corn bread in the oven. I figured it was ok since the power has been back for a while now. Mmm Johnny cake. #
  • I went almost the whole day without tweeting. I wish I could say I was doing something more productive, but alas, I am not sure what. #
  • Watching pvr'd Dancing with the Stars and Aidan asks: Can I be on that when I grow up? Answer: Yes, you just need to become mildly famous. #
  • Mmm, feeling like vera's for dinner tonight. Think I can convince my husband? 😀 #
  • As A was going out with his dad I noticed that his track pants were very short. Turns out he had Q's on. No wonder they fall off Q's butt. #
  • I am using the easter bunny like Santa. "The easter bunny won't come unless the house is clean." The boy was very helpful w/cleaning today. #

Changes They Are A Coming

I have realized that change doesn’t come easily to me.  I have had the same blog template and header, and for that matter tag line for over 4 years.  Even when we changed over to our own domain the overall feel of the blog template has stayed the same. I have been saying for over a year now that I need to make some changes. I wanted to at least change the picture for the masthead and I haven’t come up with one I like.

I am trying to figure out why the change is so hard for me.  I know what I want and I can’t find the right theme? Well that is certainly part of it.  I want a clean page with two columns. I want a black and white picture for the masthead with a pop of saturated colour.  I want to be in the picture (I think) but I also want to feature the city.  Besides I often don’t like my own pictures.  I am planning to axe my current blogroll which is terribly outdated and feature a few blogs that I always read, mostly local.  I plan to get rid of the outdated buttons and add a few that aren’t.   I want to have a few pages on tabs under the masthead including a very late about page and a few others.  I want a twitter feed, and threaded comments.

So this is a bit of a warning, there will be changes but I am not sure how fast they will be coming.

  • Livingroom/diningroom cleaned and vacuumed. 5 baskets of laundry folded. 1 Newsletter written. 1 blog post half written. Pretty good night. #
  • Tooth fixed, x-rays taken, teeth cleaned, all other teeth fine, sigh of relief. #
  • Quinlan has been and has a pain in the ass this morning. Can you say eye teeth? Oh + 2 half in molars. Teething butt and crankiness not fun. #

Happy Birthday to My Little Boy

I can’t believe that my little baby, my boy is five today. It seems like only a few minutes ago that I was walking back from London Drugs with a new video game and some easter chocolate for our last kid free weekend.  From the moment my water broke that night, to the birth of my beautiful baby boy the next, Aidan forever changed our lives.  In fact there hasn’t been any peace and quiet since. From his first car ride home, to his first day of preschool to today’s preschool graduation pictures, we have had so many firsts. I can’t believe Anthony and I have such a beautiful son.
