I joked on twitter, and at a couple of meet ups recently that we should have an “I’m not able to go to blogher for the umpteenth year in a row and I am so jealous pity party.” There actually seemed to be a significant number of people who would love to be at Blogher 09 In Real Life, and we (well I) thought we should have an In Real Life party of our own. That being said we actually are going to have a party of our own while all those lucky people are attending People’s Parties, and Mamapop Sparklecorn and Room 704 parties.
Friday 24th July 2009 starting around 3 pm and going till we stop, we are having a family friendly barbeque at Spanish Banks West. Bring your kids, your husbands, your partners and we will have a great time. Since we are doing this on our own (no sponsors yet) we will need to bring our own barbeques, food and drinks. I will stake out an area and try to have some bright balloons to mark out where we will set up.
Since we will be at the beach bring the sand toys, water toys and your bathing suit. Let’s have fun and make the most of the fabulous city we live in.

And this is the point where I cry because not only can I not attend BlogHer, I don’t live on the west coast to go to the BBQ either. LOL! 😛
I would so love to be a part of this. There’s a slight chance we may be out of town, if not I am so there, and will drag along husband and child. And bbq stuff. Will confirm closer to the day & find out what I should bring. Thanks for organizing this and let me know if you need a hand with anything!
We plan to be there. We don’t have a portable bbq though, but I’m sure we’ll more than make up for it with lots of other beach/food/games/general picnic stuff, if someone is willing to loan us a bit of space on theirs.
I will be there with my kids. My husband has to work, poor boy. 🙁

Since the logistics of planning anything terrify me at the moment and I am apparently not supposed to drive..but plan on anyway
I am hoping that the crunch family can at least make an appearance so you can at least meet the newest member….Tara!
Would love to come, but my problem is that get togethers are usually planned in the late afternoon/evening, and I have to get a ferry or spring for a hotel.
Since BC ferries cut their sailing times, if I want to avoid the hotel thing I wouldn’t be able to go for long anyway. Sometime if an event is planned and starts at noon or 11 am, I’d be there with bells on.
